Justine Payton is an MFA candidate at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington where she is a recipient of the Philip Gerard Graduate Fellowship and the Bernice Kert Fellowship in Creative Writing. She is co-editor of the anthology Between Our Legs: Silence-Breaking Stories on Gynecological Health forthcoming from University of Iowa Press, and her writing can be found in Bellevue Literary Review, Isele Magazine, Terrain.org, The Masters Review, and elsewhere.
